Uzak

In Bergama's old quarter, Kale Mahallesi, a single spectator puts on headphones and sets off. Starting from Chris Marker's La Jetée, Uzak moves the story of a prisoner sent into the past and the future after the Third World War into the narrow lanes of a neighbourhood thousands of years old.

With every step the city becomes a time machine, and the audience follows a memory that swings between death and life, reflecting on purpose and existence along the way.

About 40 minutes, no interval. For one person.
